What to see at the The Chocolate train
The Chocolate train operating in the summer is composed of a “Belle Epoque” Pullman car where passengers can experience first class rail travel as in 1915. The journey of the chocolate train from Montreux, to Gruyere and Broc includes beautiful landscapes and tastings of two Swiss specialties: cheese and chocolate
Cailler Chocolate Factory
The chocolate Cailler is the oldest Swiss chocolate brand and the chocolate factory Cailler was founded in 1819 by François-Louis Cailler, it was the first modern automatized Swiss chocolate factory. In 1898, François-Louis Cailler ’s grandson, Alexandre Cailler decide to install a chocolate factory in Broc which is still operating today. He choose this location when during a cycling trip in the countryside he came upon many cows in the fields.
