In 2013 France received the most Michelin stars with a total of 732 with 27 restaurants receiving the top honors of 3 Michelin stars. The culture of wine looms very high in France which is a producer of some of the finest wines in the world. Art is everywhere in France and particularly in Paris which has been a cultural mecca attracting artists, writers and other creative people for years. The art collections of Louvre, Quai d’ Dorsay and other countless museums and galleries are a feast for art lovers from all over the world. The spirit of the greatest writers of the 20th century still fills the cafes of the left bank of Paris. You can sit in the very places where Hemmingway, FitzGerald, Henry Miller, Simone de Beauvoir, Jean Paul Sartre, Faulkner and many others legends spent hours drinking and discussing together. In Montmartre you can walk along the same cobble streets as Van Gogh, Toulouse –Lautrec, Degas, Renoir and Picasso. Paris is also indisputably the capital of fashion. The most important fashion shows from the most celebrated designers take place here. Walking along the shopping streets such as Faubourg St. Honore, or Avenue Montaigne is like living in a fashion magazine as you walk along the streets with the fashionistas decked out in the latest trends.
