Mozart’s birthplace is located in the center of Salzburg. The building was first built in 1617. Mozart’s parent’s Leopold and Anna Maria lived on the third floor of the house. A friend of the family Johann Lorenz Hagenauer owned the house and so it is also known as the Hagenauer house. Mozart was born on January 27th in 1756 and had a sister named Nannerl born in 1751. The family lived there until 1773. The house had 5 rooms, a kitchen, chamber, living room, bedroom, and a workroom. In 1880, the international Mozart Foundation created the first Mozart museum.
