St.Stephen’s Cathedral was built in the 12th century, the cathedral is the most important structure in Austria and it is the symbol of Vienna.  Mozart was married in the Cathedral in 1782 and also his funeral was held here in 1791. During your visit, you can view the tomb of Emperor Fredrick the third. The cover of the tomb weighs eight tones! You can also visit the resting place of Prince Eugene of Savoy and the founder of the Cathedral, Habsburg duke Rudolph IV in the private chapel. Once you climb 343 steps to the Tower room there is a beautiful few of Vienna. A total of 13 bells hang here. The Pummerin bell is the best known bell in the Cathedral and it is the second-biggest free-swinging chimed church bell in Europe.
