What to see at the Smaller towns of the Riviera
Grasse
Not far from Cannes just a few miles inland you will arrive at Grasse which is the center of the perfume industry in France. You can visit the perfumery of Fragonard and the museum of Perfume.
Saint Jean Cap Ferrat
In Saint Jean you can visit the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild which is a great example of the grand lifestyle of the past. Here once you could find the fabulous homes of movie stars, royalty and other famous people. It still attracts the very rich. You will find the town of Eze up the mountain roads offering a spectacular view over the sea and the peninsula of Cap Ferrat.
Cagnes Sur Mer
Cagnes sur mer has a charming historic center and is famous for horse racing. You will also be able to visit the Renoir museum there.
Saint Paul de Vence
Not far from there you will find the wonderful village of Saint Paul de Vence. This little jewel is an artist colony full of artisan shops and galleries. In the cemetery you wil find the tomb of the Russian Artists Mark Chagall. Also you can visit the Maeght Foundation museum which has an impressive and important collection of 20th century art.
Antibes
Antibes is located just south of Cagnes. It is an important and popular resort on the Riviera with its many beaches and marina and beautiful historic center. You can will find in Antibes Picasso Museum with one of the best collections in all of France.
Juan Les Pins
Juan Les Pins is another town that is favored by the rich and famous. It is a lovely resort with a very active night life.
