What to see at the Parliament Building
The mix of several architectural styles, blend nicely together to create this most impressive building. In order to keep it in good condition, there are frequent restoration projects going on and parts of the building may be hidden by scaffolding when you visit.
The building is a symbol of the Hungarian parliamentary republic. Its National Assembly has 386 members who are elected every four years. The Prime minister of the country is elected by the members of parliament. There is also a President of the Republic whose role is really more ceremonial.
