The Crowning jewel of Strasbourg is its magnificent Notre Dame Cathedral.  Visitors are enthralled as they glimpse their first view of this Gothic masterpiece. The façade which appears to be draped in lace as you look further up you will be greeted by imposing flying buttresses and gargoyles and a spire that reaches 142 meters.   As you enter the Cathedral you will be amazed at the light from the 12^th and 14^th century stained glass windows.  In each day at 12:30 you can watch the parade of figures portraying the life of Jesus and his Apostles, as the exquisite astronomical clock strikes at solar noon.
